You get the taste of freedom
Song: Afraid by The Neighborhood
POV: You’re get the taste of freedom
Thea ran out of the hell of the hotel on the pier. She knew her limited freedom wouldn’t last long, but she kept running. Down the stairs, ignoring the people- the families, and past the cart on the corner that was nothing more than a trick.
A year ago, Thea made the deal and had been nothing more than a prisoner trapped in the hotel with the woman called the reliever. The times she did leave the hotel were to go to class. She knew people were watching her whenever she was out to make sure she never pulled anything to get out of her debt. But today, she chanced it and decided to run. She heard the shouts as she left the hotel, but she did not stop.
She ran as fast as her legs could carry, running the fastest she ever ran in her lifetime. She no longer feared for her life, which always held her back before when she thought about making a run for it. She didn’t know what the reliever would do to her when she was inevitably caught, but a part of her didn't care.
