Neuroner: Book One Cover Reveal
Title: Neuroner: Book One
Author: J. Faith Kenney
Series: Neuroner Duology (1 out of 2)
Release date: 3/30/2021
Synopsis:
Run. Hide. No matter what a Neuroner always gets an owner.
Thela Brown has spent fifteen years in hiding what she is after her parents left her in the woods to die. If anyone found out she is a Neuroner, they would turn her in for the prize: money, fame, and much more. Thela’s whole life has been spent in fear of people telling her Neuroners are a threat to society and should be killed or used as lab rats. No one knows what Thela is, not even the ones closest to her. . . or so she thought. Her life in the shadows of fear all comes crashing down when she receives a note of someone claiming they know she is a Neueroner.
Will Thela be discovered? Will her life in the shadows be over forever? Or will she end up with an owner and become a lab rat like many Neuroners before her?
About the cover from J. Faith Kenney
I love this cover so much, and yes, I am biased because it is my cover, but not only that, I designed this cover. However, I love how this turned out with the gold and the brain. When I first saw it as a wrap on the computer screen, I teared up because it felt more real that I wrote a book than anything else.
Here is a little background. . . I did previously released this book in August of 2020 but hated the cover. I paid a professional (not going to name names) to do it, and I am going to take the blame. I could say I wasn’t fully prepared with Pinterest boards and stuff like that, but mainly, I did not speak up for my distastes of the drafts because I didn’t want to hurt the designer’s feelings (which can be another blog topic).
There wasn’t a wow or speechless moment when I first saw that cover, which is a red flag, especially when it comes to indie publishing when you have all of the control. When I saw this cover though, it did make me speechless and proud of my book again. Again, there can be another blog within its self taking all about that.
I love this book cover, and I can’t wait to share this story with everyone on March 30th. It is a little scary, but I am excited.
